What A Wedding Day With Me Feels Like
Every wedding is different — but this gives you a sense of how I work and how your day naturally unfolds when photography is calm, considered, and never forced.
For reference, this example is based on a 1pm ceremony, which I highly recommend for the best light and the most relaxed pace.
| 10:00am — Morning Preparations
I arrive during morning prep, easing quietly into the room. No cameras in faces, no pressure. I let things unfold naturally — capturing the atmosphere, the anticipation, and the small moments with your closest people. This part of the day is almost entirely documentary. If time allows, I may gently suggest a few relaxed portraits once you’re ready — nothing staged, just natural moments.
| 12:30pm — Heading to the Ceremony
I’ll make my way to the ceremony venue ahead of you, ensuring everything is set and ready before your arrival.
| 1:00pm — The Ceremony
You focus on getting married — I’ll take care of the rest. From the quiet nerves beforehand to the emotion as you walk back down the aisle together, I capture it all discreetly and unobtrusively.
| 1:45pm — You’re Married
The hugs, the smiles, the congratulations — this is where the energy really lifts. I document the moments as they happen, and this is often when we’ll do your confetti exit if you’ve planned one.
| 2:00pm — Family Photographs
Family photos are important, and I approach them efficiently and calmly. I keep things relaxed, organised, and flowing — no long waits or conveyor belts of guests. Immediate family and wedding party photos are absolutely welcomed; I simply believe this part of the day should be smooth and stress-free.
| 2:30pm — Time With Your Guests
You enjoy drinks, conversations, and canapés while I capture candid moments and the details you’ve spent months planning — from florals to table styling and everything in between.
| 3:30pm — Couple Portraits
We’ll step away together for a relaxed walk and create some beautiful, cinematic portraits. Nothing stiff or awkward — just gentle direction, natural movement, and space to breathe. Simplicity always wins.
| 4:00pm — Dinner & Speeches
Guests are seated, speeches begin, and the atmosphere shifts again. I capture the emotion, the laughter, and the reactions that often become some of the most cherished images.
| Evening — Golden Hour & Atmosphere
If the light is right, I may suggest stepping out for ten minutes to capture a few portraits in the soft evening light — often the calmest, most intimate part of the day. I’ll also be capturing guest candids and setting up for the evening celebrations.
| 8:00pm Onwards — First Dance & Party
Whether it’s slow and romantic or full of energy, I’m there for your first dance — and everything that follows. From packed dance floors to unfiltered joy, I stay long enough to document the story properly, not just tick boxes.
